Tuscany feels like you have stepped into an incredibly romantic painting, it is after all the birthplace of the Renaissance. With its rolling hills, rustic farms, olive groves and authentic old-world towns, you are surrounded by the classic beauty of its unmistakable landscape. There is something about the energy in Tuscany where the pace feels a little slower, allowing you to take it all in and savor the moment.
Its storied landscape boasts wine farms famous for Chianti and fashion houses like Gucci and Ferragamo. Visit Castello di Verrazzano winery located near Greve in Chianti. It’s a gorgeous estate with breathtaking views and impressive organic wines. Visitors are treated to a tour of the winery and a delicious meal and wine tasting that is fun and informative.
A little off the beaten track in the hills of Tuscany but well worth the drive, Ristorante Edy Piu is a beautiful, romantic restaurant. Local Tuscan classics are served on a breezy patio merging a perfect mix of old-world charm with an upscale menu.
The city of Florence is bursting with artistic and architectural masterpieces, not to mention incredible food, shopping, and gelato on every corner. It is a small city but is a must-see that packs a big punch when it comes to lifestyle, arts and culture. Exploring Florence on foot or bike is the best way to take it all in. Marvel at the Duomo Cathedral which stands tall over the city with its magnificent Renaissance dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. Make your way to the Statue of David by Michaelangelo, the most famous sculpture in Florence and, perhaps, in all the world.
